Ranchlands Art Show
Ranchlands is hosting its annual art retrospective premiere at 6 p.m., Nov. 21, at The Nature Conservancy, 3575 Ringsby Court, Suite 428, Denver.
Ranchlands is a Colorado ranching company preserving ecosystems and ranching heritage on a profitable basis. Its properties include the Chico Basin Ranch near Colorado Springs and Medano Zapata Ranch, next to the Great Sand Dunes National Park.
The art show features artists William Alther, Duke Beardsley, Sophy Brown, Terry Gardner, Mark Gould, Stephanie Hartshorn, Madeline Jorden, Robert Quimby, Timothy Salisbury, Jill Soukup and Stephen Weaver. Ranchlands.com
Celebrate the holiday season with Douglas County Libraries. DCL’s Lone Tree location, 10055 Library Way, will transform into the magical wonderland of The Nutcracker and Clara’s sugar-plum dreams for two family-friendly events Dec. 7-8.
Festivities at both events include a visit with Santa, live ballet performances, music and entertainment, and make-and-take gift stations. Tasty light bites and hot cocoa concoctions are also included.
The Nutcracker Evening Edition is 5-9 p.m., Dec. 7. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for kids ages 3-12. The Nutcracker Brunch Edition is 9-11 a.m., Dec. 8. Tickets are $22 for adults and $18 for kids ages 3-12. For tickets and information, visit DCL.org/Storybook-Holiday.
