Rooms to Heal Revealed for Denver Area Children

The Denver chapter of Savvy Giving By Design provides free room makeovers to kids experiencing medical crises at no cost to them or their families.  While this is a national organization, the Denver chapter was founded by the designers of JDuce Designs out of Parker, CO in late 2018 and revealed their first “Room to Heal” at the end of June.  The recipient was 5-year-old Owen McLaughlin of Thornton who has been diagnosed with brain cancer and severe autism.  Jessica Duce & Kathy Helfrich designed the space but couldn’t have done it alone.  It took the support of locals through fundraising and key corporate sponsors who donated lighting and other items to complete the space, not to mention the volunteers who helped execute this dream space.  Owen wasn’t the only family member who benefited though; the Denver chapter truly went above and beyond by giving his big sister, Brylie, her own gorgeous bedroom as well.
