The Watering Hole: Mating, Dating and Copulating 2.0
This popular event from 2017 is back, and we’ve discovered bigger really is better! Join us on July 12 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a titillating night exploring animal courtship, breeding behaviors and the lowdown on programs zoos use to ensure genetic diversity and healthy animal populations.
A “down and dirty” scavenger hunt will lead you to stations throughout the Zoo to get an insider’s perspective of the on-site animal care programs and field conservation work.
General admission tickets are $35. Participants must be 21 or older.
Clyfford Still Museum Free Family Tour
Enjoy a free art adventure for the whole family at the Clyfford Still Museum on July 7 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.. Designed for children five through ten years old and their caregivers, family tours are an interactive way to explore the art on view. Every tour features games, close-looking and an art project to take home. A professional team of gallery teachers will introduce a different theme—such as color, line, shape, movement, music or architecture—in every tour. Admission is free, but registration is required.
Colorado Black Arts Festival
Celebrate the 32nd annual Colorado Black Art Festival showcasing the rich and creative talents of local, regional and national African Americans in art and culture. Hosted in City Park from July 13 through July 15, this three-day event features three performing stages filled with dance, jazz, blues, soul, reggae, gospel everyone. Admission is free.
